Explore by Cause

Hubs are crawl paths and reader shortcuts at the same time - each one carries counts, medians, the largest organizations and the highest-paid leaders in that cause.

Leaderboards Worth Arguing About

Ranked by reported numbers only - never by a grade. Every board names its fiscal year and its peer group.

How to Read a Record

Start With the Fiscal Year

A Form 990 is a snapshot. Figures carry their fiscal year, and people carry the filing date, so a leadership change after the filing never reads as a current fact.

Cash Is Not Donated Goods

A food bank's revenue is mostly donated food valued per pound. Record pages split cash from donated goods before any comparison is made.

Context, Not Grades

Percentiles come with their peer group, its size and its median printed beside them. No scores, no stars - the filings, readable, with context.

Zero-Result Searches Become the Roadmap Prototype

In production, a search with no results fires a GA4 event (zero_result_search, with the query as a parameter) and lands on the content roadmap - a missing organization is a coverage gap to close, a missing hub is a page to build. In this prototype the same event is pushed to dataLayer and written to a local log you can inspect below. Try searching for a term with no match, like "zoo".
